RESTYLANE

RESTYLANE

Restylane is a very effective filler used to correct facial wrinkles, deep folds and the volume loss that comes with aging. Restylane is Hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance found in our skin. Because Restylane is based on this naturally occurring substance, there is no need for allergy testing. Restylane is non-animal based, unlike other dermal fillers and like many collagen based products.

With aging, one will have significant loss of lip volume. Restylane can be used to safely restore ones lips to a more youthful appearance while smoothing out “smokers line” that radiate out from aged lips. For those who want natural looking augmentation of the mouth, Restylane can accomplish that as well.

The most common area of concern for many is the deep line that develops from the nose to the corner of the mouth called the naso-labial fold. Restylane is ideal for correcting that, easily taking a decade off of your appearance.

The “tear trough” is what we call the hollow that develops under the eyes over time that gives people a very tired and worn out look. Restylane can also be used for the restoration of this area of the face.

Some of the other uses of Restylane include, acne scar correction, restoring volume loss in the cheeks and turning up the corners of the mouth in people who have that “sad expression” that comes from collagen loss. Restylane is great for correcting marionettes.

Side effects of Restylane are mild transient redness and swelling. There can be some discomfort with the injection but this can be mitigated with the use of lidocaine and numbing creams.
